the most highly valued opinion in todays fashion world is obvioulsy mine...

So today I want to take some time out to applaud certain aspects of fashion. music and TV.

and welll.. denounce other aspects becasue they're just bad and ought to crawl into a hole and prostrate themselves while simultaneously begging for earthly and as well as divine forgiveness...

lets just say i feel very strongly about the things in this world that i don't much care for...

Lets start with something that i adored. Michael Kors runway show. Amazing. if you didn't see it look at the hightlights on youtube,ca.youtube.com/watch. As aformentioned i am a MK whore (incidentally that could also stand for MK olsen who i'm also a whore for but that's neither here nor there...) but i have always appreciated his throwbacks to 50's and 60's style (which i think he did best in his fall/winter 2008 show ca.youtube.com/watch,) but i think this was definetly a close second. His color palate was loud enough to help out the hearing impaired (read: raincoat yellow and whorelips red with liberal doses of ink blues and virgin whites) AND THE PRINTS! my favorite part obviously was his use of cirlces and lines. The best example of which was that black and white polka dot shift dress with the horizontal black and white back panal. HA-GLORIOUS. Yet interestingly enough my second favorite look was the floor length whore-red jersey dress with matching belt. By having both come off as striking pieces within the same collection definetly impressive on me the idea of quirky simplicity. You can be an individual and still be classy. I appreciate that,  and i think its about time more people do as well..

Now lets move on to something i dont like...American Apparel. Now don't get me wrong i like AA for some things, who doesn't need a simple tee in 19 assorted colors or even a simple cotten wrap dress for the days we're channeling Center Stage (shame on you if you've never seen Center Stage, it is Peter Gallagher at his finest....no not really but it is hella funny...)

What i have some diffulty understanding is the Gold Lame ( a fabric ps. that can only be pulled of by Phillipe and David Blond Models..oh and whores.. like the good ones..so you see a VERY small percentage of mankind)  onesie that are reccomened to be bought and worn with the royal purple PVC bandeau top.

I mean what? When is that outfit okay? When does ANYONE ever say to themselves " wow, you know that LBD just won't do it for tonights party, i need something with no front no back and preferably no sleeves. oh and if it could be created out of previously recycled tires that'd be cool too..." i mean really kids. I wouldn't be bringing this up however today i saw a lovely little girl walking around in one with high waisted shorts and purple booties. i just don't understand. maybe it's my rural upbringing or perhaps my ability to..i don't know... SEE, but i just wanted to hit her with my very large bag and tell her to cover up because there are children around who could be easily influenced and go on to grow up and beleive that THAT is what high fashion looks like. and well, that just no good...

ca.youtube.com/watch..ps this doesn't make me want to buy things but it does kinda make me whatch some good soft core on skintimax..perhaps i 've been too quick to judge.......myabe american apparel does have a purpose in our lives..interesting...

I also just want to say a couple more quick thinks about that which made me happy this week..

Circus-december 2- really it's sad that i want it so badley....

Against Me! played an acoustic version of Pints of Guiness at their last show. HAGLORIOUS

Always Sunny came on last night and i laughed so hard i peed...i mean just a little im not a freak or anything....

I had fun hope you did as well...

Till Then.
