About aimee
Born and raised in Sydney, I love to write and am a journalist in training. But be warned that I can easily get carried away when I'm writing about stuff I like because they tend to read on for forever!I have an obsession for op-shopping because it can be absolutely dirt cheap and still look good. And like any uni student, I'm broke like hell but still buy stuff just to satisfy my craving for shopping.
I recently have caught the travel bug after just returning from studying in San Francisco for six months so I can't wait for my next trip to Thailand at the end of this year! Woohoo!

Pit Stop to Philly
‘Philly’, the city of Brotherly Love, the birthplace of America, is a great place to make a pit stop at and stretch those legs after spending strenuous hours sitting in a car. Philadelphia was the place where Thomas Jefferson signed the Declaration of Independence for the country. It is also home to the Liberty Bell, a popular monument of the city, representative of freedom and of course liberty [duh!]. So with plentyRead more...

New York - Part 8
I admit, I am one of very few girls who do not watch Sex and the City and yes that also means I have yet to see the movie [of the year?] and I am in no particular rush to do so. Although, I must also admit, the only very few episodes I have seen of the television hit series is because of the clothes they wear – sometimes outrageously gorgeous sometimes...not so. But even still the very few outfits have always stunned me. And ever siRead more...

Surfacing up from Wall Street subway station, you stand out from the roaming sea of people dressed in nothing but black and white; all walking at paces ten times faster than your own. It’s lunch time. Everyone has come out for a feed making visits to their local sandwich and soup hub – a popular cafeteria combo for Americans – before they scurry off into their office like mouses. And then, you are left almRead more...

New York - Part 5.
Standing lined up in a row along the footpath, they yell out in broken English familiar handbag brands like Coach, Prada and Burberry. Turning my attention to one, the young pale Chinese girl flips out a collection of laminated cards from her pocket with images of knock-off handbags before she asks: “You want? I take you go look.”Quickly taking me around the corner, she leads me to a run-down building. Fumbling

New York - Part 2.
The only way you’ll be able to get the best view of New York is to head up what once was the tallest structure of the city, the Empire State Building. It was on top of this very building that the beloved Meg Ryan was whisked away by Tom Hanks at their fatal meeting in the movie, Sleepless in Seattle. Oh how romantic! You can live your own fairytale by heading up the tower and watch the sunset from here, that way you get theRead more...

Mek-ee-co!
Taking the ‘cart’, as the locals of San Diego refer to as their train service, is the easiest and most efficient way to get across the border to Tijuana, Mexico. While wondering how much longer the 45 minute ride will be, you’ll notice looking out the windows, a change inRead more...
