About Us


2threads is a community media and news website that combines social networking with community generated content and editorial content. You can use 2threads to explore, interact, connect and contribute with the community and its content. The community has a fondness for all things fashion, music, lifestyle news, photos and video.

We believe we are part of the next generation of social networking and internet media destinations. We distance ourselves from the mainstream social networks and media properties by taking the focus away from profile pages and social mapping tools. Instead we focus on showcasing the contributions of the community along side the content of our international editorial team. These contributions come in the form of photo galleries, videos, news articles, product finds and music players. We are the platform and your co-producers.

History

2threads was started in Sydney in 2005. The early focus was to capture fashion, fun and parties around Sydney and send these images to our friends and family in a newsletter format, each and every week. You can see the very first issue here in Issue 1. Things grew quickly and we still now send out the weekly email to over 17 000 fashion and party obsessed subscribers worldwide and have local teams in Sydney, Melbourne, New York, Toronto and Stockholm.
