VRaw: Our 2threads Intern Emma
For the last couple of weeks we have enjoyed the company and help from our lovely VRaw intern Emma. Whilst Emma is here for a little while more with the 2threads crew, we decided to have a chat to her about her time spent so far with us!

How has your experience with 2threads been like so far?
It's been really wonderful. Whilst I've been writing for some time now, read way too many blogs and magazines and have always had a love of fashion, it hasn't been until interning at 2threads that I discovered I could do all three - and call it work! The folk here are lovely and often remind me that if there's anything I want to learn, they're here to help. However, thus far, I've been pretty content doing what I've been doing (you would too if your job duties were anything like mine).
Can you explain some of the work you have completed so far in your internship?
Thus far, my job duties at 2threads have included writing lots of articles on the fashion world, assisting on a Monkey and the BrownMan fashion shoot (including taking some behind the scenes photos and writing about the experience afterward), attending a Cassette Kids gig in Circular Quay and taking a couple of photos of the beautiful lead singer Katrina, snapping the stylish folk around Surry Hills and Circular Quay for our street style section, helping organise the (very exciting) upcoming 2threads Australian Fashion Awards and reviewing CDs such as that from brilliant local band Bridezilla . All in all, working at 2threads is unquestionably the best job I've ever had, pay or no pay.
Would you encourage other creative types to apply for a vraw internship? Why?
Of course I would encourage other creative types to apply for vraw internships. It gives you a great opportunity to have a go working in the industry that you think you want to work in. So often have I known people who think they want to do something, spend years studying it, and then, when they eventually get into the workplace, decide it's not at all what they wanted to do. Conversly, doing an internship might help you discover exactly what you want to be doing (as it has with me), and give you the experience to find a job in the industry. Or, at least, you'll know when you sign yourself up for that degree or course, that you're signing yourself up for something you actually want to be doing.
If Emma's words are anything to go by, you shouldn't wait around any longer to apply for one of the great job listings still available with VRaw! Head to the site and check out what's on offer, but hurry they all close soon!
