The cocktail ring is one of my favorite vintage trends.  When I was a little girl I used to search for the biggest, most gawdy rings to wear while playing, dinner, and I would even sneak them to school and be the envy of all my girlfriends.  Since then, I've taken a more subtle road for my day-to-day rings, and I wear all simple sterling silver.  But let me tell you, when I saw the cocktail ring pop into the trendy spotlight, I began coveting right away.  Most cocktail rings are whimsical and princess-y, but lately I've seen some in a wide variety: big stones, many little stones all piled on the ring, pastel and loud pearls, and plastic rings in the shape of large flowers.  I say pick some up and wear one at a time for a fresh nostalgic style.
