On Sunday I will begin my quest for a new life, more commonly known as a new mobile phone, and I need some objective voices to assist me in the lead up to this new chapter.
Here's what I use my phone for:
-Messaging
-Calling (very rarely I hate talking to people)
-Emailing (I do this a lot at uni because it only costs $3 a month for unlimited emails)
-Taking pictures of Minnie (she hates my digital camera)
Here are the options:
LG KF700
It's touted as a "touch with style". It's a touch phone but also has a keypad for the lazy (me). However, it only has a 3 MP camera which kinda sucks for a phone coming out today. It has everything else I need (email) and while it looks great here it leaves little to be desired in person. That's not to say that it doesn't look good and it certainly is a cut above the phone I have now.
Nokia E71
The newest phone in the Nokia E series and I thankgod it's not one in the N series. I have been dying for a Blackberry type phone for ages and unfortunatley 3 does not have Blackberry Pearls so this one would have to do. It only has a 3.2 MP camera but has GPS (I don't drive and doubt I'd ever use it but you never know). It also comes with a bonus SD memory camera which is a plus because I'm cheap.
LG U990
This phone is my top pick. I am wary of a complete touch screen, I am lazy after all. It has a 5 MP camera which is a great plus because I love to take photos of my Mins and she won't be scared of this one. It has a 88MB Internal Memory and Divx Media Player.
So: all phones have email, bluetooth, a camera (some better then others) but I'm just not sure.
I guess the ultimate question is:
To touch or not to touch?

DivaEmporium
If you message and email alot...I kinda suggest a hiptop. I know quite a few people with them, they hate calling too...
All messages are free, as is the web on it. You only pay your monthly payment, plus calls.
Otherwise you can go for a (I think it's caled) 'dopod' (Don't trust me on the name), that too is on a telstra plan...It runs Windows Mobile (God help us all), and is too both touch-screen and 'Blackberry-like'?
