Gossip Girl is definitely not everyone’s drink of choice. An edgier version of teen drama The O.C, one episode is enough to make you want to hit the gym for two hours and swear off carbs forever. Everyone on the show is that beautiful. Yes…even the parents.

While the show may not cater to everyone, there is no denying the insanely gorgeous outfits that the characters are fitted with every episode. To display any feelings of disapproval towards the Gossip Girl wardrobe is fashion blasphemy.

So, what do you do if the bitchiness and slightly incestual drama of the show isn’t really your thing, but you can’t tear your eyes away from the on-screen fashion? Easy. Pour yourself a glass of wine, hit the mute button on the remote and watch as the fashion feast unfolds before your eyes. Enjoy!

Serena Van Der Woodsen
The Queen of the Upper East Side is effortlessly trendy. As well as being a tall, leggy blonde, she has the uncanny good fortune of throwing anything on and looking like she stepped out of a fashion shoot. Not everyone can look good in blue suede ankle boots, but Serena makes it look easy. And for that, we both love and hate her.

Blair Waldorf

Blair is like the bitchy, popular girl at school that everyone secretly craved the approval of. Luckily for her, all is forgiven, as no one is a style chameleon quite like Ms. Waldorf. Blair looks every bit the lady when channeling Audrey Hepburn in black sunglasses and LBDS, but also pulls off the ‘little-girl-lost’ act with her plaid skirts and hair ribbons. Blair stole the first season in a black Valentino dress she wore on her 17th birthday.

Jenny Humphrey
Jenny may not yet have a distinct sense of style, but that doesn’t mean she’s short of looking fantastic. Whether working the layered, preppy chic look (think coloured stockings and thick headbands) or looking ab fab when stepping out in designer gear, Jenny has certainly got it going on. It’s only a matter of time before Little J steps out of Blair’s shadow and makes her mark on the Gossip Girl fashion world.
