Fancy yourself one of the cool kids? Head down to club Valve on a Saturday night! Greville street is alive again with Valves new night, “Shindig”. I step out of the cab and see a huge line (turns out later that over 1000 people went through the door). Valve lives up to all its expectations, this place is like nothing I’ve ever seen. In fact…. its almost sci-fi! Pipe lines span the roof and new age deco gives Valve a look beyond its years. On the top level, the bar spans almost as long as the room with bar staff everywhere, you’re bound to get a drink in under 30 seconds…even with the amazing drink specials (you’ve gotta love a venue that you don’t spend half your night lining up in).

This place is like the venue “click click” but for the clubber who wants a slightly more mainstream scene (and who doesn’t want to be rejected for not looking alternative enough). As I stand on the DJ deck, a promoter tells me they’re aiming for a “18- 25 year old crowd who loves to party”. And that’s exactly what I see as I look down at the masses dancing to the Bagraiders DJ stylin.

Downstairs has an almost diner feel with red booths lining the walls for that private touch. I go for a “chick lick” which includes champagne and chambord…yummy (who says you cant go too pink)? So kids, if you’re up for a new adventure check out Shindig, whose club motto is “sex, glamour, champagne & respect….live by it”.
