Only two SLAM dates left – Maroubra Beach, Sydney & Nobbys Beach, Newcastle

In it's 9th year, SLAM Festival has taken Australia by storm, with 6 top Aussie beaches so far playing host to amazing days of fun in the sun, with some healthy volleyball competition on the side!

Although summer is almost coming to an end, Maroubra Beach (Sydney) and Nobbys Beach (Newcastle) are just heating up! SLAM hits their beautiful shores on Saturday, 28th February and Sunday, 8th March respectively to once again create a stir on the beach.

Maroubra, is the most anticipated and largest of all NSW SLAM events. The local buzz leading up to the event is huge and the turn out on the day will be one of the biggest for the year.

Although this is the first time SLAM will hit Newcastle shores, the support from the local community is overwhelming and it looks as though Nobbys Beach will enable SLAM 08/09 to go out with a huge bang!

Both Maroubra and Nobbys Beach SLAM have joined forces with local establishments to create top-notch after parties for those competing in the volleyball competitions. Maroubra’s after party will be held at Ocean Bar, Coogee (with top Australian DJ’s Stafford Brothers & Johnny Gleeson) and Newcastle’s after party is being held at King Street Hotel, with special guest, international DJ Ian Carey (“Get Shaky”).

With a line-up of Australia’s best DJs, dancing, live music, massage tents, celebrity hosts, the ‘Fashions on the Beach’ prize for the team with the wildest costume and Corona after parties, you’ll be certain to have a ball!
