Runaway Lovers: a great Aussie brand who brought the majority of their production back to Melbourne for their Winter 08 collection. A fantastic attempt to promote the 'No Sweat' campaign in Australia to support the pay and working rights of the folks in the clothing industry. 

Season to season the signature of Runaway Lovers is quintessentialy Aussie. Each collection has elements of playfulness, the freedom to be adventurous and a free spirited sexiness. Their clothes are utterly wearable.

Above is a selection of pieces from Runaway Lovers Winter '08 collection. The look was based loosely on a models life, "hanging between shoots and shows". "The overall look encapsulates the inner tomboy" but still quite feminine.

This label is gaining a huge amount of popularity in the Aussie market. They have interest to expand overseas to Sweden, Asia and the US and I'm sure they, like me, will fall steadfastly in love with Runaway Lovers and their gorgeous, often idyllic, creations.
