Lately Rhianna’s revamped look, choppy short haircut included, has taken on a harder edge. The rock chick look is an easy trend to add personal touches to. I am loving Harpers Bazaar’s twist on a modern day rock and roller. They incorporate wide legged black pants into the outfit, rather than the favoured skinny leg pants worn by Rhianna and Fergie.

Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof are two more contenders in the rock n’ roll game. Kate Moss chooses to simplify her look, mixing a black singlet and black leggings (she even carries a guitar for the added effect these days.) Pixie Geldof seems to be going for the trashed rock chick look a little too much lately, but regardless, she maintains her own personal style, mixing leather with oversized tees and knee highs. As the celebrities put their own spin on the rock chick look, there are a few staples of this trend that never go out of style; a good leather jacket and either black cigarette pants, or ripped denim. Of course the obvious choice is a band t-shirt, but please, do not wear a band t-shirt unless you actually are a fan of the band! I have seen this option go badly many times.
