The only way you’ll be able to get the best view of New York is to head up what once was the tallest structure of the city, the Empire State Building. It was on top of this very building that the beloved Meg Ryan was whisked away by Tom Hanks at their fatal meeting in the movie, Sleepless in Seattle. Oh how romantic!

You can live your own fairytale by heading up the tower and watch the sunset from here, that way you get the best of both worlds; the view of the city – day and night. If you can withstand cold, January will be the best season to come and visit the city because tourist spots like the Empire State Building will be easier for you to get into.
