While us Aussies have been elating in the return of our spring, autumn has been sweltering in the US of A. Anna Wintour could scare almost anything into submission, but she had no handle over the weather. Despite the threat it posed to make up, hair and dare I say it, sweat patches, the heat still soared in NY come the first day of New York fashion week.

Now I wasn’t privy to the actual, real-life goings on of NYFW, but I watched from my very own (in) front (of my computer) seat as some ever faithful New York based 2threaders delivered the goods through photos and blogs.

New York Fashion Week has no shortage of action. The schedule is ridiculously packed with huge name designers and a fair few unfamiliar names casting their nets out in an attempt to get their big break. Unlike our own Fashion Week, New York’s sees more than just a few celebs lurking around the fashion traps. Nicole Richie, Heidi Klum, Kelly Osbourne, Lauren Conrad and Mary Kate Olsen were just some of the celebrities who turned out for New York Fashion Week.

Heading up day two was Charlotte Ronson. While Mark and Samantha Ronson focus their attention on DJing, Sam Ro’s twin sister, Charlotte channels her creative flow into fashion. Her debut Fashion Week show was packed to the rafters, but having Lindsay and Samantha front row couldn’t have hurt either. We’ll let you guys be the judge of whether it was talent or a bit of status that has helped Charlotte Ronson along. Check her stuff out HERE
