Seen on every A-list celebrity in the form of jackets, pants and accessories, leather is all about making a statement and looking damn good while you do it.

Leather jackets
The jacket is by far the most popular of all the leather clothing items and accessories. Want to look like a rock n roll princess? Take a cue from Jessica Alba and don a leather jacket, skinny jeans and a vintage tee. Keep the girly edge by adding heels. Alternatively, do a Rachel Bilson and recycle your summer wardrobe by teaming your favourite strapless dress with a cute hooded jacket.

And boys, never fear. Leather jackets are a trend that both sexes can wear! Bring sexy back by chucking a leather jacket on over a white tee and jeans and voila…instant style.

Leather pants
Leather pants aren’t for the faint hearted; so only attempt this trend if you’ve got the legs to pull it off. Black is the optimum colour for leather pants, as it is slimming and flatters the legs (as leather pants are usually skin-tight.) Heels are the best footwear but, as is the case when teaming denim with more denim, wearing a leather jacket with leather pants is a big no-no.

Leather accessories
If you’re not keen on wearing leather in the form of a jacket or pants but still want in on the action, then leather accessories are the way to go. A big, brown leather bag looks good with any outfit and if you buy one in a simple style, it’s guaranteed that it will be in style for many seasons to come. Wear a brightly coloured leather headband to add a bit of oomph to your hairdo, or adorn your wrist with a leather cuff to look biker chic.
