Katie Jales' love for clothes is what drove her to become a keen seamstress and study fashion design at Sydney's FBI Fashion college where she graduated among the top students.
Drawing inspiration from eras both past and present, Katie's collection is ultra feminine with a vintage feel using soft cottons and silks in mainly muted colours and old world methods such as pleating, crochet, lace and trimmings.
Katie launched her self-named label at Sydney's Bondi markets this year. Crafting one off pieces using patchwork and vintage fabrics. "I love discovering garments and old fabrics in second hand shops. Half my wardrobe is vintage and the other half my own creations".
Katie Jales is dedicated to supporting the Australian fashion industry and each garment is made with love in Australia.
