It Really Does Take One to Know One

So I have noticed this trend in the world of celebrities. It seems like any star who deems their interests to be "fashion". later comes out with a line themselves. However, just because you have money and get dressed by a stylist, doesn't mean you are going to be the next Ghandi of the fashion world.

So which celebrities recently have come out with lines simply because they enjoy fashion? Lauren Conrad from the Hills, Amanda Bynes, Hilary Duff, Nicky Hilton, possible Heidi from the Hills, and other B list celebrities. It's actually quite sickening to look at these girls ideas about fashion. Everything has been done.

Now I am not saying that fashion has to be a new idea all the time. It doesn't and in many cases is hardly ever. But it does have to have that flair and that pull factor that makes it appealing to the masses.

I am not trashing EVERY celebrity who has come out with thier own line of clothes. I so appauld the few who have been able to create lines that are elegant and exciting. Yet there is a trend I am noticing. The stars that do produce great fashion collections, are usual the stars who have stepped outside the box when dresing themselves. For example, the Olsen Twin's highend line The Row, Sienna and Savhanna Miller's Twenty8Twelve, or Kayne West's soon to be released line; Pastel.

I don't want to completely knock Amanda Bynes or Nicky Hitlon, to each their own. But I don't think stars should "just choose" fashion designing because they can when there is way better talent out there, itching for that chance.

Hello C-low, i agree with what you're saying, celebrities these days are trying a bit too hard to add that extra " / " to their profile eg, singer/actor/fashion designer. It seem that Hilary Duff has done it all! But also i guess it's understandable that like Hilary and the Olsen Twins do apeal to the younger generation as they can influence the way they dress, which is better than wanting them to look at Paris Hilton.

Is it me or does LC's line is really expensive for her basic designs? The one celebrity who i wouldn't mind seeing release is Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham.
