Hair Trends for 2009
I'm the type of girl who loves playing with my hair and making up new styles. Sometimes I hop on a trend and other times I just go for something fresh and funky. Hair trends for 2009 are all about simple and sultry styles. No matter what kind or color of hair you have, there are ways to revive it and feel sexy through out the year.
A huge hair trend for 2009 is change. Bold changes should be welcomed when it comes to hair this winter...because no matter how drastic the color change, you can always go back. I love Ashley Simpson-Wentz' daring color change. She's had black hair, and has been blonde for a lot of her career, but what I love more than any of it is her new auburn red. It looks natural yet sassy. Britney Murphy is a hot blonde but when she went brunette and chopped it off into an alluring bob, she added sophistication to her look.

Often time is a factor when styling your hair so simple styles are classic and attention grabbing without all the extra effort. The short bob was so in late 2008 and will continue to turn heads into 2009. It's a great cut that can be worn straight with a few accessories or hot rolled into a Marilyn Monroe type style. Hayden Panettierre and Eva Longoria went for this short sexy style. If you're hair is long you can have the same undemanding mentality. Naturally straight hair is easy to fancy up, just add a cute barret or headband and call it a day. If you have wavey hair, the ultimate style is loosely pulling back half and leaving a few tendrals around your face. If you want wavey hair, like Lauren Conrad, but don't want to deal with curling irons, the best thing to do is towel dry your hair, add some leave in conditioner, and then blow dry (stop just before your hair is hot). Then wrap it in a loose low bun and wear it to bed to wake up with lucious waves, or leave the bun in until you get to work or school and your waves will last all day. If they do go flat wrap your hair up again for a half hour or so.

Another great hair trend for 2009 is classic loose coiffure styles. There are so many coiffure hairstyles that look stunning, but 2009 is not about taught or slicked back--it's about mixing classic with untidy to create tantilizing hair. Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba's updos look beautiful and easy. All you have to do is put big hot rollers in to create full bodied curls then pull the hair up loosely, pieces and chunks at a time, and fasten with pins until you feel that the style won't fall out. Or, tease the top of your hair, like Alba, and pull into a loose ponytail and pin curls around to hide the hair tie These coiffures should last through out an entire evening.

One of my favorite hair trends for 2009 is the banging bangs or funky fringes. So many celebrities snipped their bangs in 2008 and many more are sure to follow in 2009. Bangs and fringes not only make any face look more youthful but they're almost avent-garde and really fun. They're not too much fuss either. You can have full, blunt bangs or whispy side swept bangs and look amazing either way. Be sure to go to a salon when you first fringe your hair, but you can manage the style by purchasing hair scissors and carefully tidying them up every few weeks. If you have the blunt bang trend, dampen bangs and flatten them on your forehead, then cut as straight and slowly as possible. If you have the side swept style, twist your bangs (like you do when you're putting a bun in your hair) then hold the hair in between your index and middle finger and while pointing straight up, cut a tiny bit at a time at a slight angle. Here are some inpirations for the bang hair trend for 2009: Liv Tyler, Kiera Knightly, Kate Moss, Jessica Abla, Nicole Richie, and Katie Holmes wear the bold blunt bangs while Catherine Zeda Jones, Lisa Rinna, Amanda Peet, and Nicole Richie wear the sexy side swept bangs.

Managing Hair Trend for 2009:
Ring in the new year with a fresh new hairstyle but don't forget to do the old up keep. Moisturize with conditioner every day in the winter and don't be shy about the leave in kind either. When summer rolls around keep your hair clean to avoid it looking oily. Clean your brushes and curling irons regularly so not to add nasty gunk to your hair. And lastly, try not to fuss with any style too much: embrace your hair, work it within its means, then leave it!
