I’ll be completely honest. I’m totally digging the latest trend in Spring footwear: Gladiator sandals for men. Spitting this out to friends has been, unfortunately for yours truly, much akin to admitting that I think Hitler was a total babe*: Totally not cool.

Gladiator sandals for men have been plodding along the catwalks for some time but there’s been some definite resistance, not only from high street stores, but from many a stylish folk: I know more men than I’d like who would take their manky old thongs over a pair of gladiators any sunny day. 

Like most trends, there’s a good way to wear it, a bad way to wear it and a just plain ugly way to wear it. However, pair them with slouchy, cropped trousers, thin layers and a bundle of cool and it’s fairly difficult to go wrong.

In fact, not only is it fairly difficult to go wrong, it’s fairly difficult not to look frickin’ amazing.
