Hearing the word 'Blogger' often has people shaking in their little boots but Girl With a Satchel is no Perez Hilton. If he's most hated then she's most loved.

Girl mixes popular culture, magazines and the pretty things in life with her own girlie slant. Her gorgeous mission statement is "finding the good in gloss" and she readily admits that she is not perfect, and I get the feeling she means it. She loves to shop as much as the next girl but there's something different about her which I love- she lives by faith and God's grace. GWAS embraces the teachings of Jesus Christ instead of living by glossy standards. How many people can you say that of?

In her blogs she mixes current world woes (in her most recent upload she talks of the financial crises) and relates them to her blog world. Girl reviews magazines which is great for all. How many times have you bought a magazine and hated everything in it? I know I have. I think this particular aspect of her blog is my most favourite- it saves money and her opinions are just what I need.

In relation to her blog I have coined a new term: it's very pictureable. Meaning? It has many many pictures and it always looks greats. The pictures always help sell her story and she always has up-to-date images. There is no "this-picture-was-taken-six-years-ago-but-I'm-just-recycling-it-again". Which is just great! I don't know how many blogs are out there that have recycled pics of celebs or magazine covers and it just frustrates me. GWAS answered my prayers.

Her blog is detailed but not boring. Witty but not bitchy. Informative but not dull. I've seen info on here I really don't think I could find anywhere else and I love it.

Girl With A Satchel seems to genuinely care about those who read her blog. She provides readers with the information they need and she does it superbly. If I was her mother I would say that I was proud of her, but I'm not her mother. I am still proud of her, however. She's great and she has provided the globe with a different experience.
