Believe the hype - Santorini is devine and a place everyone must see before they die. The trip up the mountain from the port is quite an interesting one especially if you fancy near-death experiences. The Greeks drive like maniacs, even on cliff-tops!

This magnificent island is known for its sunsets in Fira and Oia. Take your camera and don’t stop looking for a minute. As with all parts of Greece, the food is tantalising, the people are friendly and the scenery is breathtaking. Santorini is just like you see on the postcards, awash with white structures and bursting with beauty.

Be sure to spend some time at the black sand beaches, which are so because they are remnants of volcanic debris. The sand is blistering hot, so wear your thongs to the shore and enjoy the lukewarm water and the huge mountains that wrap around you.

 
For a different night-life experience, head to Taj Mahal. This Turkish and Indian inspired club is a visual feast - open air, decadent furnishings, treasure chests, shishka pipes to smoke from and belly dancers are just some of the marvels on offer.
