Everyone has their own opinions, so, before I get into it: these are mine. There will be no Kate Moss, no Aggy and no Sienna Miller: I'm not into females looking like males. I like my "IT" Girls to be washed.

The Top 5 Fashion "IT" Girls.

1. Rachel Bilson

Probably best known for her role as Summer Roberts in The OC Rachel has certainly stepped up in the style stakes. She's frequently featured in best dressed lists and it's no wonder why. She's chic and she combines the latest fashions with individual pieces. Her gorgeous, lengthy, locks make her outfits as does her enchanting smile and cute as a button dimples.

 

  

 

       

I love her style, I really do. I would love to emulate it but it's all her own. She mixes girly and tough pieces effortlessly, has a penchant for scarves, hats, shoes and bags to envy. She is my number 1.

2. Nicole Richie

The past year or so, has made me rethink my views of Nicole Richie. The poor girl seemed unable to win: during the first few season of Simple Life she was considered chubby and only really known as Paris Hilton's sidekick and then she got too skinny. It's a win-lose world and she's lost a lot. However, somehow she found a great in between and emerged from anorexic, drug addict rumours, found love with Joel Madden and now has a baby girl. During this time she also emerged out into the fashion world and has inspired many great looks.

3. Blake Lively

I know, I know: cliche. She plays gorgeous Serena Van Der Woodsen on GG and now she's on here but note: I put Blake Lively not SVDW! Playing a New York teenager with a penchant for clothes who looks great and effortless in everything is not a stretch for Miss Lively. I must admit, I have never seen her look bad and I really do think she is emerging out on her own and she looks gorgeous doing it. She has her own style and she's fabulous and she has certainly emerged from the Blake Lively we were introduced to in Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Fun and flirty.

       

    

4. Leighton Meester

I'm not unoriginal I swear! Leighton wouldn't have even made the list until I saw this:

At first I thought she was a bit plain but then I saw this and then an outpouring of great images of her in great clothes invaded my screen. After some searching I found that, yes, while sometimes she does play it safe, more often then not she does look great and she does take some risks which is what I like in my fashion IT girls. I think she has moved away from Blair and she is coming into her own. She's gorgeous, young, and definitly a contendor.

      

   

Well now, 5 was a toss up between Rihanna and Lauren Conrad so I shall do both.

5.1 Lauren Conrad

The Hills star has been knocked around a lot but I love her and I love her style. While her clothing line may be overpriced she screams laidback fashion to me which I thinks makes her all the more accessible. I don't know the girl but I love what I see and she always seems to look good, sex tape rumours and all.

    

    

 

5.2 Rihanna

 

While I would hardly wear any of the clothes she does I love them on her. She's funky, wild and soft. She takes huge fashion leaps and she pulls them off fantastically well. Her cutting edge take of the bob has made her look highly sought after around the world. Rihanna is well on the way to being a trend setter for fashionistas around the globe with her one-of-a-kind look and adaptable music.

And there you have it my top 5.1 list of fashion top "IT" girls. What do you guys think? Am I totally off the mark? Are there any people you would suggest? I must acknowledge that I chose celebrities because they are those who I encounter most. I'm not every much into the "IT" girls like Casey Johnson who does not seem fashionable in my eyes. Anyway, all feedback is welcome! I'm dying to know what you think.
