David Jones Officially Launches the Autumn/Winter Season For 2009 Fashion

The home of Australian designers, David Jones, officially launched its Autumn Winter 2009 Season on a Wednesday morning at the Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park, Sydney.

Australian-born, New York based supermodel Miranda Kerr truly radiated down the runway in her first Autumn Winter season as David Jones Fashion Ambassador.

An impressive line-up of Australia’s most celebrated designers and exclusive members of the David Jones Fashion Family showcased their Autumn Winter 2009 collections, including: Akira, Alex Perry, Alannah Hill, Anna Thomas, AG by Arthur Galan, Calibre, Collette Dinnigan, Easton Pearson, Fleur Wood, George Gross, Ginger & Smart, Gorman, Harry Who, Lisa Ho, Sabatini, Sass & Bide, Scanlan & Theodore, Thurley, Trelise Cooper, Willow and Zimmermann. Innovative designer Lisa Ho created the spectacular opening and Sass&Bide held the coveted finale spot.

Approximately 350 VIP’s, celebrities, designers, media and Australian identities attended the event. Guests included David Jones Brand Ambassador Megan Gale, Kate and Gai Waterhouse, Lara Bingle, Erika Heynatz, Justin Hemmes, Julian and Nick Tobias and Jodhi Meares.

The show's stylist, Kelvin Harries, focused on a mix of fabrics, prints and rich colour ; organising more than 130 outfit changes by 40 models - phew! Check out the final product here.
