I just watched an ad where numerous men complained about buying Christmas presents for the women in their life. If they got lingerie it was too big, too small, too trashy. If they got chocolate they were on a diet. If they got an iron they were berated. And it got me thinking buying for most women at Christmas time sucks.
In general, women are demanding and picky and project what they want on their counterpart. I'm not judging, I sometimes do it too, and I feel bad for the men out there. I remember once I walked to the train station in boots with a stiletto heel- my feet were so sore by the end of it that I asked my boyfriend to pick me up a pair of thongs on his way to pick me up.
They were so bad that I can not even find an image on Goggle that even resembles them. Let's just say they were pink and Hawaiian with a gross bejewelling on them. It was almost three years ago and he has not lived it down and I doubt he ever will.
Christmas would have to be one of the worst times for a guy to buy something for a girl. On our first Christmas together Lindsay made me a gorgeous jewellery box that I love so much but inside was some not-so-great jewellery. It was silver and had pink stones which sounds nice in theory but they weren't so great.
It seems that men try so hard and usually get it wrong and get berated for it but women don't always try so hard and don't always get it right, however, if the man brings this up they are a jerk.
Why is that women are so picky and usually ungrateful for a present that may not be the best but has all the elements of thought, love and care?
