Charlotte York's Fashion Style Guide
Ever dreamed of having everything Charlotte York has? The loving, funny husband? The stunning, always clean, Park Avenue apartment? The wardrobe? Charlotte is certainly one to envy and today you can emulate her style.
Dressing like Charlotte may seem quite easy but often people try it and turn out looking like this:

Avril Lavigne
Now, while you may think turning Charlotte into Avril is a stretch but I have seen many people do it. They think a cute dress equals a classic and tailored Charlotte look. In the case of Miss Lavigne she fails big time.
Charlotte's look is classic, Audrey Hepburn-esque and Park Avenue Princess.
Casual

Charlotte York (season 4) in a Theory fitted denim jacket, cotton Laundry shirt and an Agnes B. linen skirt. Accessorising with a retro-print bucket hat, Coach's "Honey" wedge slide and Hogan's canvas bag.
Even on her way to a picnic with the girls, in casual wear, Charlotte looks great. She looks stylish, simple and right at home on Park Avenue.
Cocktail

Classic like a martini, Charlotte in a simple cotton sundress by Howard Wolf.
Charlotte always accentuates her figure in slim-line, fitted dresses. Her hair is always immaculate, usually always straight, and her make-up simple, never over done.
Classic

Charlotte does classic in a lace-trimmed vintage cocktail dress from the 1960s.
All-American

Charlotte in a brown tweed Ralph Lauren jacket and a pair of Levis.
This look is a mix of casual and chic. Her classic tweed jacket dresses up her jeans. She does the look fabulously well- not many people can look so great and classic in jeans.
Feminine

Charlotte is very feminine with a sexy twist in a Ralph Lauren high-romance ruffled corset.
Here Charlotte pairs sexiness and femininity. A corset can appear trashy but Charlotte picks the right colour and fabric and comes across as prim and proper. Her hair done up just accentuates the non-hooker style.
Park Avenue Princess

Charlotte is dressed for breakfast at Tiffany's in a classically cut pale pink Celine coat
over a cream Luca Luca top
Audrey Hepburn-esque

Just like Audrey Hepburn in a Badgley Mischka's high-romance off-the-shoulder
beaded wedding gown with a ruffled train
Charlotte married Harry, the Jewish love-of-her-life, in an Audrey Hepburn-like dress. She looks like a Princess in this hip hugging gown. Her hair and make-up is classic as always but she mixes it up with a splash of red on her lips.
4 Years On...

Charlotte York in the Sex and the City Movie. Patricia Field evolved the character's
closets. In the movie Charlotte is seen in more floral prints which suit her gloriously
happy demeanor. She accessorises with a cream Chanel quilted bag.
To emulate Charlotte you will need:
* Brunette locks- Charlotte would never, and could never, have been blonde. She's too classic.
* Simple make-up- Charlotte would never have worn bright blue eye shadow, loud blush with hot pink lips. It's just not her.
* Simple hair- Charlotte's hair was never boring but it was most often straight. However, her hair never looked like two A4 pieces of paper because she had slight waves. Think a classic blow wave and shine.
* Embrace Your Curves- Charlotte has a classically gorgeous hourglass shape. Embrace yours. Don't hide your curves. Flaunt them.
* Pearls- Charlotte loved her pearls. When she found out Harry was Jewish and his family were conservative Jews she remarked she was conservative too. Harry told her his conservative has nothing to do with wearing pearls, however. She loves them anyway.
* Tiffany- Charlotte's first engagement ring was from Tiffany and she was often seen in pieces from the store. Audrey Hepburn loved Tiffany and Charlotte did too. This is the ultimate store for any Park Avenue Princess.
* Chanel- when the parents of an un-born child Charlotte and Harry were hoping to adopt came to visit Charlotte's first instinct was to go to Chanel for an outfit. More often than not you can see her with a Chanel bag.
* Heels- Charlotte loved her shoes, in fact her shoe fetish lead her to receiving free shoes from a man who orgasmed over her feet. But she would never have worn loud shoes like Carrie. Think peep-toe-heels.
* A Classic Little Black Dress- they all say everyone needs a Little Black Dress and Charlotte made this look even more classic and sophisticated.
* Remain Polished- Charlotte is always well put together. Even when she's exercising she looks classic in Burberry separates
