I remember being a little girl and my mother forced me to wear little white  socks folded over with my black patent leather dress shoes and hating it.  But lately I've been seeing a lot of girls rocking this look and it's so endearing and cute that I think I'm going to start wearing the sock with high heels trend as soon as the weather gets warm.

There are a few ways of wearing socks with high heels. You can go with long or short socks, with pumps or strappy heels.  There are a lot of possiblities but you have to be wise with your choices.  Joss Stone makes a great shoe selection: strappy and nude tones but her sock choice is terrible.  The stripes are too kiddie and don't match her dress.  You don't want to look like a twelve-year-old girl so go for a look like Agness Deyn or Sarah Jessica Parker's.  The patterns are funky but mature.  Agness Deyn's silver lace pumps are so amazing and her motor cycle jacket and cocktail dress go perfectly with the knee high socks.  Sarah Jessica Parker rarely does a trend wrong and this is no execption.  She plays with patterns and colors but she keeps it chic.

Anna Sui embraced the socks with heels look and I love how the socks are short and colorful.  I really can't wait for spring when i can wear all my pastel ankle socks and pumps.  I love the short sun dresses as well but that's not really my style, so it would be fine to rock the look with knee length skirts as well.

Sockdreams.com has some really ridiculous socks but the ones they recommend wearing with high heels are super cute, so check it out for some spring fashion inspiration and they've got some pretty good deals.  Otherwise rock what you got but try to keep it girly and mature like Anna Sui's take on the trend.
