If you have ever wondered how to dress like Nicole Richie, with your very non celeb budget, your first stop in emulating celeb fashion should be sunglasses. Fashion forward celebs are rarely seen without shades when on the street (and sometimes, even at night, although this a trend worth avoiding!), so picking a similar pair to your fave is an easy way to get in on their celebrity style. While Rayban wayfarers were a big fashion trend for 07/08, there has been a slew of celebs like Nicole Richie Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston wearing the Rayban Aviator trend, indicating aviators are gearing up to be the hottest sunglasses trend in 08/09.

The picture above shows Nicole Richie in a pair of Rayban aviators, whilst Rachel Bilson is rocking a dark Prada pair. Unlike the wayfarers trend, which looked good (in my opinion) on most face shapes, aviators can be a little trickier to pull off. Try experimenting with smaller frames if you find standard aviators are overwhelming your face. If you find the lower frame is sitting halfway down your cheek then a small aviator style should look better. The tops of the frames should roughly line up with your brows.

You can also experiment with lighter and darker shades and gold aviators or silver/ titanium frames. I personally love the classic green tint and gold frame combo, but have seen serious fashionistas rock a solid black pair. If you are a gold jewelry fan then these will suit your coloring best, and the same goes for those who favor silver jewelry. Avoid mirrored silver aviators, unless you are on highway patrol!
