A brother and sister team of endless talent, Australian designers Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman are setting the bench mark for fashion design on an international scale, with their label Camilla and Marc. Set in Sydney, the two siblings have risen in immense style since their first inaugural show in 2003.  Their backgrounds are different yet both play vital roles to the labels continuous success. As Marc brings the business brains to the mixture with his knowledge in engineering and commerce, Camilla provides a more creative approach. After successfully completing her degree at the reknowned Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney she was awarded a much sought after scholarship to the Accademia Italiana Arte Moda Design in Florence, Italy. 

Whilst studying in Italy, Camilla finessed the final touches of the Camilla and Marc Winter 2004 collection. It was not long after that a historical moment in Australian fashion history occured, involving the label. Myer loved the Camilla and Marc label so much, they decided to  begin selling their sought after fashions- this was the first time a label in its first year of business, has been sold through such a large department store in Australia.

Their success after this pivotal moment only increased ten fold. The siblings decided to take their creative drive to a grander scale; jetting to Paris at the end of 2004 and asserting their talent on an international scale. They have become well-known for their fabulous catwalk shows, always aiming to provide a uniquely creative experience for those involved.

Styles that are emblematic of the Camilla and Marc label include feminine and soft pieces; think shift dresses, with beautiful and edgy detail. Of late they have gone for a more layered approach in mainly neutral tones. Vests, 3/4 length jackets and and stovepipe pants. Feminine threads mix with masculine detail and leather and lace fuse together to create a collection that is tailored to the highest standard.

The Camilla and Marc label is always evolving, which is a wonderful aspect to have in the fashion industry; we love change! The one thing that won't change about their label though is it's ability to make you instantly transformed and feeling like a glamorous star whenever you slip into one of their dresses; that's what true fashion should do.
