The other week Sydney was lucky enough to play host to what was surely the most prestigious fashion event to grace our shores for 2008.

Calvin Klein launched his Spring 2009 collection on Cockatoo Island last month to a crowd fit to be seen on any Hollywood A list.

Abbey Cornish was flown out from the US especially for the event with another surprise in tow – her boyfriend Ryan Phillippe. The surprise superstar duo sure boosted the ‘lux’ feel of the event, and also split crowd gossip into two distinct sides; Reece and Abbey.

Flairs of fevered gossip followed and may have, a little, taken the focus off the real reason we were all there. However not for long. With Calvin Klein being a true master of style he soon had the crowds’ attention snapped back into its rightful place, on his collection. And what a collection it was.

A true master of art celebrating his 40th anniversary and Spring collection right on the shores of our hometown. What more could Sydney ask for?
