Best Mascara: Top 5 Best Mascaras

Mascara is a girl’s best friend- when it is worn properly! With the Australian Summer heat scorching, there has never been a better time to find yourself the perfect mascara that can battle against the heat and the waves. I have hunted down my top 5 of the best mascara’s available on the Aussie market. When it comes to a beauty product like mascara, you need to buy quality, because let’s face it, nobody likes looking like a panda after dancing into the night or taking a dip in the pool! These top 5 mascara’s will brighten up your eyes, protect your lashes, and generally save those nasty ‘next day’ make up disasters for another time.

Mascara pick number #1- Maybelline Full ‘N Soft

Whilst the Maybelline mascara may be the cheapest one on my top 5 list, don’t be fooled, because this is my personal favourite and is a staple in my daily make-up routine. Whilst Full ‘N Soft is also available in waterproof, I tend to choose the non-waterproof version because it doesn’t smudge either! The thing I love the best about this mascara is that is does not brittle away into little flaky bits- the bits we all love to hate. Instead Full ‘N Soft proves that it has earned it’s name- leaving you with ultra soft lashes that seem longer and fuller.

Mascara pick number #2- Model Co. FatLash

I swear by Model Co, because after many purchases I have always loved this label’s products and gone back for more. Model Co offer two main mascara’s but the best is by far the FatLash mascara. The name basically explains its talent- it gives you fat lashes! FatLash mascara will give you high voltage lashes with a formula that contains Cellulose Micro beads (don’t ask me what that is but apparently it does wonders!)

Mascara pick number #3- Napoleon Perdis Peep Show Madame Crystal

This is one for those girls who don’t want black mascara clumping up their lashes, but still want added volume and length. The Madame Crystal mascara is actually clear, but it still does all the wonders of a normal mascara! The formula used it specifically aimed to hydrate and define the lash area, and Napoleon himself swears that no one will be able to tell you have it on! But your lashes will look extra glossy and super long.

Mascara pick number #4- TheBalm Two Timer Mascara

If you thought two timing was something only horrible ex boyfriends did, then think again. Because now mascara is two timing too! The Two Timer mascara has two brush ends- one for defining, separating, and lengthening, and the other for volumising and getting rid of those unwanted clumpy bits. It sure does take two to tango. (This mascara may be hard to track down in major department stores- but it is always available from the Kit Cosmetic stores.)

Mascara pick number #5- Benefit BADgal Lash

BADgal mascara by benefit

Benefit have such a fun range of make-up, it’s hard not to buy everything in store. But the BADgal Lash mascara is simply perfect for those amongst us who want to run havoc these Summer holidays. The BADgal mascara will load your lashes and set you with attitude. So for the biggest, baddest lashes, this product is a must.
