Best Foundation: Top 5 Foundations
When searching for the best foundation for your skin, it’s important to buy a quality product. This may mean spending a little more but your skin is worth it! So don’t skimp out on cheap products that will do more damage than good. I have compiled a list of my Top 5 foundations. When looking for a good foundation I follow some simple rules. A foundation must have an SPF in it (unless you are using sun screen as a base). It must also have good coverage, and finally it must suit my skin tone. There is nothing worse than wearing a foundation 3 times darker than your skin tone- foundation shouldn’t be visible when your wearing it, it should look natural, so be extra careful when choosing the shade.
Foundation pick #1- Clinique Continuous Coverage

Clinique’s range of make up is diverse and they have many great foundations. My favourite however is the Continuous Coverage, because it’s a great everyday make up that stays on from when you leave the house early to when you get home late. It contains an SPF 15, and is recommended to cover scars, skin discolouration and birth marks. This is a great foundation for a range of women, and it’s also water resistant!
Foundation pick #2- Model Co FluidSplash 3 in 1 foundation

I admit, I have an obsession with Model Co, specifically with this foundation. The fluidsplash 3 in 1 has a foundation in the tube, and a concealer and eye base hidden in the lid! The concealer works really well, and its nice to have an eye base that isn’t too heavy. It is oil-free and has over 50% water content so it’s hydrating for your skin. This foundation is perfect for the Summer months in Australia.
Foundation pick #3- Napoleon Perdis China Doll Foundation

If you want porcelain looking skin then this is the foundation you want. China Doll is really lightweight on the skin, and the finished product is pretty amazing- bye bye blemishes!
Foundation pick #4-Dior- DiorSnow Sublissime

This is one for the fair skinned amongst us. This Dior foundation has an SPF 20 and is lightweight with a semi-matte texture. The reason I love it? The foundation neutralises your dull skin, and makes your face look really radiant.
Foundation pick #5- Bobbi Brown Oil Free Even Finish Foundation

Oil free and with an SPF 15, this is one of the popular choices from Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Most importantly, this foundation prevents shine! It gives medium to full coverage. Another good everyday foundation.
