After Camilla & Marc opened the start of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week with a collection that has everyone rushing out to get their hands on it, the talented duo behind label Bec & Bridge soon after revealed their most diverse collection to date.

Bec & Bridge have long been associated with contemporary women's wear, fused with a vibrant youth feel. Unexpected prints and embellished detail make their garments that little bit more special. The Bec & Bridge girls did not fail to impress with their collection at this years RAFW. Soft pinks mixed with peach and citrus inspired tones covered long maxi dresses and short shifts. White crochet slips adorned the mix of stunning models, embellished with gold mesh detail and tassle cuffs worn around wrists.

Overall the collection had a strong whimsical feel to it, but what really made it stand out were the jolts of contrasting detail- from diamond shaped belts adorned with metal studs, to the sharp feel of gold mesh  against softer silks. There was a return to the era of disco too, as models paraded super short mini dresses in rainbow palettes and shimmering fabrics.

As a preview for the next big thing in swimwear and body suits, Bec & Bridge revealed deconstructed one pieces featuring geometric cut outs on the shoulders and sides. Bright blues were off set with crisp whites, in a collection that overall is highly wearable. The four way runway caused a model intersection, and a close collison was the only fault of the entire show. This latest collection from Bec & Bridge is similar to their current Lancelot collection, but it takes a much more feminine approach, from the palette of soft pinks, golds and white, to the longer elegance of the maxi dress.

Bec & Bridge were a highlight of RAFW Day 1- many of the viewers are already anticipating the release of the collection to the public.
