So here she is and here's what you need to know:

Like friend Abbey Lee Kershaw, Skye Stracke is an Aussie (a Perthian to be exact). She was born on December 4, 1990 (she's 18) and she's gorgeous as hell! She's a newcomer in the model scene, known for her pout, she's modelled for the likes of Phillip Lim and Anna Sui.

In 2005 she won the Australian Vivien's Model Search and two years later she had signed wtih DNA Management in New York City. On January 19, 2008 she was featured on models.com as "Skye's the Limit".

February saw her featured in WWD's model special "The Starting Lineup" and debuting at the fall 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anna Sui, Diane Von Furstenberg and Lacoste.

In May she appeared in Numero editorial, photographed by Camilla Akrans. Vogue Australia featured her as a rising star alongside other Aussie models Alice Burdeu and Stephanie Carta.

Most recently she walked the fall Chanel, Christian Lacroix and Valentino couture shows in Paris.

Her catwalk pictures are certainly beautiful. She has a certain amount of innocence and something else I can't quite put my finger on. I'm not usually one to love, or even like models, but I am loving the new Aussies out right now. Aussies are the new hot thing (but didn't we always know it?) and I am certain Skye will keep on rising.
