Sophie Monk launches Hollywood Shapes in Sydney

Wearing a pewter-coloured bandage dress with her blonde tresses on show, Sophie Monk looked every bit the LA lass for the launch of Hollywood Shapes, the new body contouring lingerie line she is spruicking. While some mags, which shall remain unnamed, are going on (and on) about Sophie Monk’s “battle” with her weight I can tell you that the girl looks great, all size ten of her!

Held at (where else but) The Ivy, the makers of Hollywood Fashion Tape launched Hollywood Fashion Shapes. If the mantra of Hollywood Fashion Tape was ‘keeping your bits stuck in place’ the mantra for Hollywood Fashion Shapes would be ‘keeping your bits sucked and tucked in place’. These underwear pieces are heavy duty and all-purpose, for gals with actual meat on their bones the way God intended. The underwear range might not have all the thrills, spills, bells and whistles of other underwear and nude coloured underwear isn’t renowned it’s ability to get hearts racing in the bedroom, but the models looked mighty comfy swanning around in their just underwear, and let it be noted that there was no unsightly overhang to be seen.

Sophie Monk                                                    A very subtle Jonathan Pease

Also on the celebrity (*cough*) radar was Jonathan Pease who sidled up to Miss Monk as the host for the night. And, it has to be said… isn’t that dude meant to be a stylists? He must have missed a very important lesson at Styling School because he was wearing one very rude pair of shoes.

The offending shoes.

It didn’t take long for all the nude underwear to be overshadowed by Hollywood goss as MC Pease coaxed Sophie Monk into dishing some dirt. Word on the Hollywood streets is that there is a feud brewing between Paris and Sophie Monk, something to do with Whatshisface Madden and probably a lot to do with Sophie’s new reality TV show titled Bigger Than Paris, cheeky!

It may have been a Monday night but the guests were all in fine spirits sipping on P.nk Vodka, snacking on culinary delights of calamari, crab and quail canapés followed by a spot of gelato from Gelatissimo. I didn’t see Sophie Monk hoe in, but I bet if she did the tabloids would have had a field day. I, on the other hand, would have high-fived her.
